About Me

MY STORY

The Heart of a Game Designer

I’ll start out here by giving a little background before I dive into my game dev work. I serve in the Navy as my day job, and although game design is my core passion I have plenty of hobbies! I enjoy fitness including weightlifting and going for runs. I also enjoy drawing, music, playing all sorts of games, photography/videography, and I’ve been known to watch quite a bit of cartoons and anime. I also like all things tech! When I can find the time I also enjoy snowboarding, hiking, and camping.

My passion for game design has been with me since childhood. Growing up, my brother and I, when we weren’t at summer camps playing card games and trading collectibles, we were MAKING GAMES. I’d spend hours every day drawing maps on printer paper, creating rule books, and making inventory cards. I even drew comic books—though my art wasn’t great, it was never about the visuals; it was about telling stories and playing games. My senior year of high school, I used some saved-up money to buy a laptop, downloaded Unity, and created my first video game using a Brackeys tutorial. My progress became sporadic as college introduced new challenges and distractions, but the spark never went away. Now, I’m ready to fully embrace my game design journey. My goals in game design are twofold: to discover myself as an artist and to create fun, meaningful experiences that resonate with players. I strive to find the sweet spot where my creative passions align with the player community. I believe the best games come from a healthy dialogue between developers and players. Through my work, I hope to contribute to the ever-evolving world of game design, crafting experiences that leave lasting impressions on those who play them.
